Enrique Etcheverry , full name José Enrique Etcheverry Mendoza , (born May 10, 1996 in Melo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.76 meter tall defensive player Etcheverry has been part of the squad of the Uruguayan first division defensor since 2014 , from whose junior team he emerged. In the 2013/14 season he came to the end of the Clausura 2014 to two missions (no goal) in the Primera División . In addition, Etcheverry ran twice (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2014 , in which the Montevideans advanced to the semifinals. In the seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 he was not used in the top Uruguayan league. In early July 2016 he was loaned to the first division promoted Boston River . There he played six times (no goal) in the league in the 2016 season.

National team

Etcheverry made his debut under coach Fabián Coito on October 17, 2012 in a 6-0 win against the Chilean team in the Uruguayan U-17 national team . He was part of the squad at the U-17 South American Championship in Argentina in 2013 . He was also part of the squad that reached the quarter -finals of the 2013 U-17 World Cup . During the tournament he played four games. He did not score a hit. In total, he has completed at least 26 international matches for the U-17s since his debut and scored one goal.

In addition, Etcheverry has already played in Uruguay's U-20 selection . On April 15, 2014, he came on as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Chile. In the game that ended in a 1-1 draw with the same opponent on April 17, 2014, he scored the goal for Uruguay. Further international appearances followed on August 4, 2014 and September 22, 2014. The opponent was Peru in each case.

He was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the U-20 South American Championship 2015 in Uruguay.
