The Entenberg is now a partially wooded mountain and a medieval border marker near Ifta west of the Thuringian town of Creuzburg in the Wartburg district . It is part of the Ringgau and the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park .
The mountain plateau has a summit height of 387.3 m above sea level. NHN , a panoramic view allows views of the north-western Thuringian Forest with the Inselsberg and the Hörselberge when the visibility is good .
The Hessian-Thuringian state border runs over the northern slope of the mountain with a section of boundary stones from the 16th century. The southern slope, which is still used for agriculture, belongs to the Willershausen district in the Werra-Meißner district .
