Entoloma subg. Clitopiloides , like the genus Entoloma also called red rot , is a sub-genus of the genus of red rot , which is divided into the two sections Clitopiloides and Sericeoidea .

The type species is the ribbed-leaved Rötling ( Entoloma costatum ).

features

The fruiting bodies have a räslings- or funnel-like habit and a hygrophan hat. The trama consists of long, pointed elements.

Systematics

In 1978 Henri Romagnesi described the subgenus Clitopiloides from the genus Rhodophyllus . Machiel E. Noordeloos placed the taxon in 1992 in the genus Entoloma .

Clitopiloides section

The clitopiloides section includes fruiting bodies with hairless, hygrophanic hats and intracellular pigment. Cheilocystides are absent. Buckles on the hyphal septa are present or absent.

Sericeoid section

The sericeoid section comprises fruiting bodies with a funnel-like habit. The bifurcated hat is hairless, fibrous-felted or scaly. The pigment in the hat top layer is intracellular and encrusting . Cheilocystides are common. Buckles are present or absent.
