In Brian Giffin's Encyclopedia of Australian Heavy Metal , the music is referred to as melodic Thrash Metal. Jonathon Besanko from metalobsession.net wrote in his review of Evil Unseen that the songs have melody and groove . With the use of double bass , the group creates the typical Thrash Metal sound, which is enriched by sweeping hooklines , high-pitched choruses and guitar solos . In addition, one can listen to the music's influences from classic heavy metal . Justin “Witty City” Wittenmeier from metal-temple.com assigned Reckoning to old-school thrash metal, with melodies being combined with high - pitched vocals.
