Enzo D'Ambrosio

Enzo D'Ambrosio (actually Vincenzo D'Ambrosio , born March 5, 1931 in Camerota ) is an Italian film producer and director .

Life

D'Ambrosio started in the film industry in 1958 as an assistant to Luigi Zampa and Damiano Damiani . In the following years he devoted himself exclusively to documentary film , in which area he prepared contemporary topics (for example with Tempo di twist or Ogni domenica ). From 1967 he also produced feature films and was not only successful at the box office with his first three films, spaghetti westerns with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill , but also laid the foundation for the duo's career. A crime film by Camillo Bazzoni followed in 1972 , before he himself directed an erotic film in 1976, La spiaggia del desiderio , which had difficulties with censorship and was only released in 1980. It was not until more than twenty years later that a second work followed, Ma il buon Dio è proprio in gamba? .
