Enzo Peri

Enzo Peri (born September 11, 1939 in Palermo ) is an Italian film producer and director .

Life

After graduating in philosophy (more precisely in philosophy of art at the Università Gregoriana in Rome) and law (at the University of Palermo ), Peri studied communication science for three years at UCLA in the United States. After a short period as a journalist in Geneva , Paris and London , he first worked for film in 1962 when he was assistant director for Mauro Bolognini and Marcello Baldi . With the full-length documentary Il piacere e il mistero , which Dino De Laurentiis produced, he made his debut as a director; His feature film debut followed two years later with the unusual spaghetti western Three Pistols Against Cesare - it was to remain his only film as a director. From 1974 Peri worked as a (co-) producer of a few, but mostly cinematic films.
