The Ottauquechee River is a left tributary of the Connecticut River in the US state of Vermont .

The Ottauquechee River rises in the area of ​​Town Killington in the Green Mountains . It flows in a predominantly easterly direction past Woodstock and Quechee . The US Highway 4 runs along its middle reaches. The North Branch Ottauquechee River flows into the river on the left. The Ottauquechee River flows through the Quechee Gorge . US Highway 4 runs over the Quechee Gorge Bridge at this point . Further downstream, not far from the estuary, the Ottauquechee River is dammed from the North Hartland Dam to North Hartland Lake .
