The Mississauga Eparchy is a Canada- located diocese of the Syro-Malabar Church with its seat in Mississauga , Ontario .

history

The eparchy was established on August 6, 2015 by Pope Francis as the Apostolic Exarchate for the Syro-Malabar believers living in Canada. Jose Kalluvelil was appointed the first exarch . On December 22, 2018, Pope Francis elevated the exarchate to the rank of an eparchy and appointed the previous exarch as its first diocesan bishop .
