Jose Kalluvelil
Jose Kalluvelil (born November 15, 1955 in Thottuva , Kerala , India ) is an Indian clergyman and Syro-Malabar bishop of Mississauga .
Life
Jose Kalluvelil received the sacrament of ordination for the Palghat Eparchy on December 18, 1984 .
On August 6, 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Tabalta and ordered him for the first Apostolic Exarch of Canada. He was ordained episcopate on September 19 of the same year by the Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly , George Cardinal Alencherry . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Saint Thomas the Apostle of Chicago , Jacob Angadiath , and the Bishop of Palghat , Jacob Manathodath .
With the elevation of the Exarchate to the Mississauga Eparchy , Pope Francis appointed him its first diocesan bishop on December 22, 2018 .
