Epifanie Norocel
Epifanie Norocel (born December 14, 1932 in Mălini , Baia County , Romania ; † January 7, 2013 in Panciu , Vrancea County , Romania) was a Romanian Orthodox Archbishop for Buzău and Vrancea .
Life
In 1961 he acquired the title of graduate theologian at the Theological Academy in Sofia , Bulgaria . He then studied in Bucharest and Moscow .
Between 1965 and 1971 he worked as a professor at the ecclesiastical seminary of the Neamț monastery , of which he was abbot from 1971 to 1975. Since November 9, 1975 he worked as a (consecrated) bishop in the Romanian Orthodox Church. He has been archbishop since 2009.
