music

The band plays classic Thrash Metal with melodic guitar solos by guitarist Bernemann. Tom Angelripper sometimes uses almost death-metal- like shouting .

Texts

The song Waterboarding is about the torture method of the same name . Angelripper said: “It is unbelievable what people think up to torment other people. Imagine that. It is suggested to a person that he is drowning. Something like that just concerns me. ” Katyusha is about the rocket launcher of the same name from World War II . Angelripper called it "perverse" that such a weapon has a girl name.

reception

Anzo Sadoni from Metal Hammer gave the album 5 out of 7 points. He called Epitome of Torture “a good Thrash album by a legendary band that struggles in the here and now, but is still a long way from an oath of revelation”. Sadoni praised My Final Bullet and “the more melodic-atmospheric 'Into The Skies Of War'” as “big hits” of the album, because on average “the material is not too earth-shattering”.
