Bernd "Bernemann" Kost (* 3. July 1963 ) is a German Metal - guitarist .

Career

Kost started his career when he joined the Dortmund band Crows in 1988 . With this band he released the first and only album by the band The Dying Race three years later . In the same year the band broke up again. In 1996 he joined the band Sodom with former Crows drummer Bobby Schottkowski . With Sodom, Bernd Kost released seven studio albums. In 2017 Sodom were recognized as the best German band at the Metal Hammer Awards . In January 2018, Sodom singer Tom Angelripper separated from Kost and the drummer Markus "Makka" Freiwald, who had since joined the company. According to their own information, Kost and Freiwald were informed of their sacking via a WhatsApp message. Kost and Freiwald then founded the band Bonded .

In 2006 Kost played together with the band Randalica a cover version of the song Nur ihr alone by In Extremo , which was published on the compilation (K) a look back .

Bernd Kost has been working full-time as a toolmaker in an electronics company in Werne since 1990 . There he designs and builds injection molding tools . In order to be able to combine his job with music, he works continuously on the early shift . Bernd Kost is married and has two sons.
