Erardo Cóccaro , full name Erardo José Cóccaro , (born January 20, 1961 in Montevideo or Dolores ) is a former Uruguayan football player and coach.
Career
Player career

Midfielder Cóccaro, whose last name is also spelled Cócaro , was in the squad of the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Progreso from 1981 to 1988 . In the season 1988/89 he completed six league games (no goal) for the Argentine club Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata . He is also said to have been under contract with Club Atlético Peñarol from 1988 to 1989 . However, he was not included in the "Aurinegros" squad in 1988 or 1989. 1990 followed an engagement at Bella Vista . There he was with the team in that year Uruguayan champions. For 1991 he returned to Progreso again.
National team
Cóccaro was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . With this he took part in the Copa America 1987 and won the title. In the course of the tournament, however, he was not used.

Coaching
Junior / reserve teams
After his active career, he worked as a youth coach in various Uruguayan clubs. As such, he worked for Progreso from 1995, 2003 to 2004, 2007 to mid-2008 and again in 2009. He also held this position at Peñarol in 2000 and 2006. In 2005 he coached the youth of Club Atlético Rentistas , in the first half of 2009 that of Liverpool FC . When Liverpool FC he had to follow the after January 7, 2009 Honduras exchanged Gustavo Faral took over the team of the "Cuarta División". At least in 2014 he was the coach of the U-16 Bella Vistas.
Professional teams
He also appeared as a trainer in the senior sector. From 1996 to mid-1997 he coached the Progresos team. On August 8, 2013 it was announced that he had taken over the coaching position at the second division Canadian Soccer Club . The engagement ended at the beginning of November that year with his resignation after a loss to Central Español .
