Eray Atalı (born November 5, 1989 ) is a former Turkish ice hockey goalkeeper who was last under contract with İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK in the Turkish Super League until 2015 .

Career

Club

Fikri Atalı began his career as a hockey player at İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in 2004 as a 15-year-old . From 2006 to 2009 he played for the league competitor Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK , with whom he was Turkish champion in 2007 and runner-up in 2008 and 2009. From 2009 to 2011 he played for two years for the university sports club Ankara , with which he was able to win the championship title again in 2010. He then returned to Kocaeli and again won the runner-up title in 2012. After spending the 2013/14 season with newcomer Zeytinburnu Belediye SK , he returned to his home club in İzmir, where he ended his career in 2015.

National team

Atalı played in the junior division for Turkey at the U18 World Championships in 2005 and 2006 and at the U20 World Championships in 2007 , when he was not used, and in 2008 in Division III. He also played with the Turkish student selection at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum .

His only tournament appearance in the men's national team was at the World Cup in Division III in 2009 , when he made a significant contribution to promotion to Division II with the second-best catch rate and the second-lowest goal-keeper in the tournament.
