Erhard Schäfer (cook)

Erhard Schäfer (born January 10, 1959 in Gillenfeld ) is a German chef .

education

Schäfer began his apprenticeship as a pastry chef in Prüm in 1973 . He then became a cook in the State Kurhaus in Bad Bertrich . In 1985 he passed the examination to become a chef at the IHK Berlin. In the following year he moved to Cologne Bonotel as Chef de cuisine . After extensive positions in Cologne and the surrounding area, Schäfer took over the management of the kitchen in the Cologne stock exchange restaurant in 1997, with which he received a Michelin star from 1999 to 2005 . Since June 2009 he has been running the Landhaus Kuckuck in Cologne-Müngersdorf.

Stock exchange restaurant

During the time of the stock exchange restaurant , Schäfer made a name for himself in Cologne with the Maître , where he cooked in the style of traditional French cuisine at star level. After the renovation-related closure of the stock exchange restaurant, he moved to the Landhaus Kuckuck on Cologne's green belt.

On June 1, 2009, Schäfer took over Landhaus Kuckuck, which was first mentioned as an inn in 1925 . There the Maître reopened in September of the same year - based on his previous station .
