Erhard Ziegler

Erhard Ziegler (born April 19, 1886 in Nuremberg , † May 22, 1946 in the Soviet special camp No. 1 Mühlberg ) was a German judge .

Life

Ziegler, the son of a merchant, was Protestant. He passed the Abitur in 1904 at the old grammar school in Nuremberg . He studied four semesters in Erlangen, two semesters in Leipzig and two semesters again in Erlangen. During his studies in 1904 he became a member of the Germania Erlangen fraternity . He received his doctorate in Erlangen in 1912. He passed the first state law examination in 1908 with the grade “passed”, the second in 1911 with “55”. From 1912 he was a qualified legal intern at the Munich I public prosecutor's office and a research assistant at the State Ministry of Justice and at the reference work of the Reich Court in Leipzig. December 1914 he became III. Public prosecutor at the Munich Regional Court. He last took part in the First World War as a lieutenant in the Landwehr . On October 1, 1918, he became a district judge at the Munich District Court . On November 1, 1919, he was appointed second public prosecutor at the State Ministry of Justice. On New Year's Day 1925 he was promoted to the Upper Government Council. In 1926 he became a senior public prosecutor at the Munich Higher Regional Court and in 1930 there was a senior judge. Five weeks later he was assigned to the Reichsgericht as an unskilled worker and in March 1931 appointed to a Reichsgerichtrat. He was in the I. , VI. and V. Criminal Senate. He was an employee of the Leipzig Commentary .
