Eric Descombes (born June 25, 1971 ) is a former Mauritanian football player and current coach .
Career
As a player
Descombes played almost his entire career with clubs in the United States , in 1997 he was briefly with Southend United in England , but returned to the United States after just under a year. He ended his career in 2003, playing two games for the Mauritanian national team .
As a trainer
He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Cincinnati Riverhawks , then he was the head coach at Indiana Blast . In the 2012/13 season he was a coach at the Ivorian club Africa Sports National . Shortly afterwards he was introduced as the coach of the Central African national team and took part with the team in the CEMAC Cup , where he was able to lead the team to the final, where the team lost 2-0 to Gabon and was thus second.
