Eric Paslay (* 1983 in Abilene , Texas ) is an American country musician .

biography

Paslay grew up in Texas and came into contact with music at an early age through his grandfather's country band. When he was 15, he wrote his own songs, and after high school he went to Nashville to take up a music business degree. Through his final internship he got a record deal with EMI .

With his first release Never Really Wanted , Paslay had a first notable success in the US country charts in 2011. But he was even more successful as a songwriter, for example as a co-author of country number one hits such as Barefoot Blue Jean Night by Jake Owen and Angel Eyes by Love and Theft , which also made it into the top 40 of the official charts. He also wrote songs for many other country greats. 2013 Pasley was for a Grammy for the song Even If It Breaks Your Heart the band Eli Young nominated, he wrote with Will Hoge wrote.

The Texan had his first success on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2013 with the song Friday Night .
