NGC 3032 is an active Lenticular galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Leo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 68 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3026 .
The object was discovered on December 24, 1827 by astronomer John Herschel with an 18.7-inch telescope ; Dreyer later included them in the New General Catalog .
