NGC 3027 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBcd and is located in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is around 53 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 60,000 light years .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 3, 1785 .
