NGC 3012 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Little Leo the northern sky . It is estimated to be 520 million light years from the Milky Way and about 150,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Heinrich d'Arrest on April 30, 1862 .
