NGC 3030 is a Hubble-type E / S0 elliptical galaxy in the Hydra constellation south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 113 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3058 .
The property was discovered by Francis Preserved Leavenworth on 1886 .
