Eric Simon (born August 4, 1931 in France ) is a French film architect .

Life

Simon received his artistic and practical training in the 1950s and began his cinematic work as a so-called location manager in the same decade. In the following decade he was also employed as a prop master and outfitter. Since 1963, Eric Simon has also worked as a film architect and designed the decorations for productions by ambitious directors such as Michel Drach , Robert Bresson , Roman Polański , Jacques Rivette , Miguel Littín and Costa-Gavras . The photographer and director David Hamilton also regularly engaged Simon for his "soft-focus celluloid erotica ( Bilitis , The Story of Laura M , Tender Cousins , First Sehnsucht )." Simon's cinematic activity has not been proven since the early 1990s.
