action
The shy Pierre Renaud works as a cashier in a hotel in Vichy . When the attractive Agnès Jensen, accompanied by a photographer, visits the hotel, Renaud falls in love with her straight away. To overcome his shyness, he enlists the help of the psychologist Aldo Ferrari. Together with him he travels to Agnès to Nice , where Renaud accepts a job as a dishwasher in her hotel so that she can always be close. Together with Aldo, Renaud comes up with a number of plans to attract Agnès' attention, but she always rejects Renaud's advances.
It turns out that for Agnès, the luxurious life that she leads is over after a week, because she just won it in a competition. She is driven home and on the way meets Renaud and Aldo who are trying to hitchhike back to Vichy. She gets out and continues on her way with Renaud and Aldo.
