Life
Vladimir Cosma, the son of the conductor Teodor Cosma , learned the violin and began working as a film composer and arranger for Michel Legrand . In Germany it was mainly by the ZDF - Vierteiler known in the 1960s / 1970s. The title track from The Adventures of David Balfour (1978), David's Song , was later interpreted by the Kelly Family and covered by numerous other artists.
A well-known composition by Cosma is the title melody of the film The Big Blonde with the Black Shoe (1972) with Pierre Richard , which was played by Gheorghe Zamfir on the panpipe . He set three films by Louis de Funès and two by Jean-Paul Belmondo to music . Rabbi Jakob's theme song received a great deal of international attention and is still received in films today, as in Monsieur Claude and his daughters. For the film Asterix - Victory over Caesar , he wrote the well-known title song Astérix est lá , which was sung by Plastic Bertrand in the film and became one of the most famous Asterix pieces of music. Most of his film scores have been released on phonograms. The most successful single was Reality from the film La Boum - Die Fete , sung by Richard Sanderson .
