Erich Joey Pflüger

Erich Joey Pflüger (born May 26, 1936 in Ingolstadt ; † July 1, 2010 near Ingolstadt) sometimes also called Eric Joey Pflüger , Erik Joey Pflüger or Joey Pflüger , was a German folk actor , operetta singer and director .

Life

Pflüger first began studying mechanical engineering and took dance and acting lessons on the side. Eventually he shifted his professional focus entirely to the performing arts; he attended and studied theater studies at the Free University of Berlin . He received his first stage engagement as a dancer in Pforzheim; later he was engaged at the Gärtnerplatz-Theater in Munich, was a popular operetta buffalo in Nuremberg for several years, took on guest roles at the Theater des Westens in Berlin, and played and staged in St. Pölten, in Baden near Vienna; he also appeared at the Wiener Festwochen and took part in television productions on ORF. In his theater career spanning several decades, he played many classic roles, such as Gabriel Eisenstein in Der Fledermaus , Danilo in The Merry Widow , Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady or Petruccio in Kiss me Kate . He played and staged around 120 plays and operettas.

Since 1990 Pflüger was a member of the ensemble of the Chiemgauer Volkstheater , where he participated in over 30 stage productions. Through numerous television recordings, Pflüger also reached a nationwide audience with these depictions. He also played, for example, in Oswalt Kolle's educational films Your child, the unknown being and love as a board game .
