Erich Lamprecht

Erich Lamprecht (born April 14, 1926 in Mainz , † September 26, 2003 in Saarbrücken ) was a German mathematician who was particularly concerned with algebra .

After receiving his doctorate in 1952 at Humboldt University , he moved to the University of Würzburg , where he completed his habilitation in 1955 . In 1963 he was appointed full professor of mathematics at the Saarland University. In addition, Erich Lamprecht was initially an editor and, from 1965, the chief editor of the journal Archiv der Mathematik .
