Erich Lechler

Erich Lechler (born January 19, 1890 in Schwaigern ; † December 20, 1963 in Ellhofen ) was a German politician ( BCSV , CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school in Heilbronn , Lechler completed a banking apprenticeship. He then worked as a banker and worked as such in Liverpool and Moscow from 1911 to 1914 . During the First World War he was interned in Russia until 1915 because of the German-Russian acts of war . When he returned to Germany he took part in the war from 1916 to 1918 and was a member of the Eastern Border Guard from 1918 to 1919 . He then went back to his original job and in 1923 became head of the Deutsche Bank branch in Lörrach .

Lechler worked as a bank director in Lörrach after the Second World War . He joined the BCSV, which later became the Baden regional association of the CDU. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden .
