Erich Pöltl

Erich Pöltl (born September 3, 1942 in Löffelbach near Hartberg ) is a former Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), who was, among other things, regional councilor in the Styrian state government between 1991 and 2003 .

Life

Erich Pöltl attended elementary and secondary school in Hartberg and then the agricultural advanced training school in Hartberg. He worked on his parents 'farm and in a fruit processing company and in 1962 took over the parents' farm with vegetable growing , chicken fattening , viticulture and tavern . After attending the agricultural training school in Kirchberg , he passed the agricultural master's examination in 1965. He joined the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and was a member of the municipal council and Vice-Mayor oföffelbach . In 1969 he was deputy mayor of the now collapsed Municipality Hartberg environment .

On March 5, 1974, Pöltl became a member of the Styrian Landtag for the first time , to which he was a member until October 18, 1991. In 1980 he became ÖVP chief chairman of Hartberg and at the same time a member of the ÖVP state board in Styria. Furthermore, in 1989 he became chairman of the Styrian farmers' union and president of the Chamber of Agriculture. On October 18, 1991 he joined the Styrian state government and between October 18, 1991 and September 30, 2003 he was in the state government Josef Krainer junior IV , the state government Klasnic I and the state government Klasnic II, regional councilor for agriculture. In 1998 he became president of the Styrian state association for ice and stick sports.

Erich Pöltl was awarded the professional title of Economics Council and in 2008 the honorary citizen of Greinbach .
