State government Klasnic II

The Provincial Government Klasnic II was after the regional elections in Styria 2000 on November 7, 2000 by the parliament of Styria selected. The state government was in office until the Vove state government, which was sworn in on October 25, 2005.

During the government period there were major changes in the government team. After twelve years in politics, Deputy Governor Peter Schachner-Blazizek (SPÖ) resigned from his office on March 12, 2002 and also resigned from all political functions. On the same day, his successor, the future governor Franz Voves, was elected as his successor as governor's deputy, after Voves had been elected as the state party chairman a short time before.

In 2003 there were major personnel changes. First, Gerhard Hirschmann (ÖVP) and Günter Dörflinger (SPÖ) left the government on April 8, 2003. Kristina Edlinger-Ploder (ÖVP) and Wolfgang Erlitz (SPÖ) were sworn in as successors on April 8th. On September 30, 2003, Regional Councilor Erich Pöltl (ÖVP) resigned from the state government, followed by Johann Seitinger . Herbert Paierl (ÖVP) left the government on April 5, 2004 and was replaced by Gerald Schöpfer .
