State government Josef Krainer senior VII
The state government Josef Krainer sen. VII existed from April 6, 1970 after the Styrian state election in 1970 until the death of Josef Krainer senior on November 28, 1971, which ended his 23-year and 146-day term as governor . According to the proportional representation system , four SPÖ mandates were awarded in addition to the four ÖVP mandates . The ÖVP lost a mandate.
Later Governor Friedrich Niederl (ÖVP) took over the 2nd Deputy Governor and replaced Hanns Koren (ÖVP). Adalbert Sebastian (SPÖ) became the new 1st Deputy Governor on September 28, 1970, after Alfred Schachner-Blazizek (SPÖ) died on September 17, 1970.
