State government of Voves II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The state government Voves II formed the Styrian state government between the state elections in Styria 2010 to June 2015. After the SPÖ was able to defend first place with around one percentage point ahead of the ÖVP, Franz Voves was on October 21, 2010 with the votes of the SPÖ and ÖVP confirmed in his office as governor of Styria . The proportional government consists of nine members, four of which belong to the SPÖ, four to the ÖVP and one to the FPÖ. However, a labor agreement only exists between the SPÖ and the ÖVP.

The government went down in the state's history as a "reform partnership" with far-reaching administrative reforms ( Styrian municipal structural reform , downsizing of the state parliament and the state government, etc.).

After the state elections in Styria in 2015 , in which the reform partners SPÖ and ÖVP had to accept significant losses and each achieved less than 30% of the votes, Voves resigned on June 10, 2015 according to his announcement and paved the way for the coalition government under Hermann Schützenhöfer ( ÖVP) .
