from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The state government Josef Krainer junior III was appointed by the Styrian state parliament on October 18, 1986 after the state elections in Styria in 1986 . Josef Krainer junior's state government existed until re-election on October 18, 1991. Despite an absolute majority in parliament, due to the proportional representation system, four SPÖ mandates were awarded in addition to the five ÖVP mandates .

In addition to other personnel changes during the legislative period, the later Governor Waltraud Klasnic , (ÖVP), took over the post of Provincial Councilor Helmut Heidinger (ÖVP) on June 21, 1988 . On April 3, 1990, Hans Gross , (SPÖ), resigned from all offices as 1st Deputy Governor and was replaced by Peter Schachner-Blazizek on the same day. This means that both governor and deputy governor were appointed by a son of a former incumbent who worked together in previous provincial governments.
