Erich Rominger

Erich Rominger (born May 3, 1886 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † January 28, 1967 there ) was a German pediatrician.

Life

Rominger studied medicine at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1906 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Freiburg . After the state examination and the doctorate to Dr. med. he stayed in Freiburg for pediatric training. 1920 habilitation and since 1924 associate professor , 1925 he followed the reputation of the University of Kiel in their chair for Pediatrics . He survived the Weimar Republic , the time of National Socialism , the Second World War and the post-war period in Germany . In 1950 he headed the 50th annual conference of the German Society for Child and Adolescent Medicine . In the same year he gave the funeral oration for his Jewish colleague Albert Eckstein . After 29 years of service, he retired in 1954 . He died in his hometown at the age of 81.
