Erich Weiland
Erich Weiland (born July 18, 1916 in Berlin , † December 8, 1992 in Düsseldorf ) was a German engineer and politician ( CDU ).
Life and work
After attending school, Weiland completed a university degree, which he completed with an engineering degree. He was then drafted into the Wehrmacht . From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . After the end of the war he worked in the private sector until 1951 and then took up a self-employed activity as a consulting engineer in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel .
MP
Weiland was a member of the German Bundestag from December 14, 1966, when he replaced the late MP Hans Verbeek , until the end of the 1969 electoral term. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
