Erich von Lojewski

Erich von Lojewski (born March 25, 1909 in Masuchowken , Lyck district , Masuren ; † April 15, 1970 in Kiel ) was a German journalist, editor and writer. His son is the journalist Wolf von Lojewski .

Life

The father Gottfried von Lojewski was civil servant first as a royal forester and then as a provincial road master. From 1923 Erich von Lojewski published several homeland books on Masuria and East Prussia. He met the stenographer Ruth Ursula Erdmann (1915-1998) know. From the relationship, the son Wolf von Lojewski was born on July 4, 1937 in Berlin, who grew up with his mother's family in Posegnick in East Prussia. When the son was six years old, Erich von Lojewski also moved there. The marriage did not take place until January 1944, after the divorce of the father's first marriage. In the course of the flight and expulsion of Germans from Central and Eastern Europe , the mother fled with the son in a cart across the lagoon to the west in the winter of 1944/45 and arrived in Altenbruch near Cuxhaven. When the DRK tracing service found the father's whereabouts in Wesselburen , they moved to Schleswig-Holstein. After that the family lived in Kiel-Wik .

In the Soviet occupation zone , Erich von Lojewski was entered in the list of literature to be sorted out in February 1946 with the note “völkisch-anti-Bolshevik”.

Erich von Lojewski was a journalist with Kieler Nachrichten and from 1965 he was director of the "Verlag Landeswerbung" in Kiel.
