Erik Braadland
Erik Braadland (born November 21, 1910 in Idd , † July 14, 1988 ) was a Norwegian diplomat and politician .
Career
Braadland was the son of Major and MP Birger Braadland . After joining the Foreign Service of the Kingdom of Norway, he came to Germany in 1945 after working in Stockholm . From 1947 on he was legation councilor in the Norwegian military mission in Berlin and from 1948 to 1952 its deputy head. From 1951 to 1952 he was also chargé d'affaires of the Kgl. Norwegian legation in Bonn . This was followed by posts as envoy in Belgrade from 1952 to 1954, as ambassador in Moscow from 1954 to 1958 and as ambassador in London from 1959 to 1961.
After being elected to Storting in 1961, he left the Foreign Service. He was a member of the Norwegian Parliament as a member of the Senterpartiet until 1969.
