Erik Flügge

Erik Flügge (born May 3, 1986 in Backnang ) is a German political advisor and author.

Since 2012 he has been head of the SQUIRREL & NUTS company for strategic consulting in Cologne, which he founded. He has also been the managing director of barracuda GmbH since 2016.

Life

Erik Flügge grew up in Allmersbach im Tal and went to the Weissacher Tal education center there. After graduating from high school in 2005, Flügge studied German and political science at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , which he completed in 2012 with the first state examination.

In 2012 he became known for his election poster "Currywurst is SPD" for the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia . Together with Oliver Zeisberger, he founded the strategy consultancy SQUIRREL & NUTS GmbH in the same year and has since advised top politicians and parties in election campaigns, churches, associations on communication and cities and municipalities on the participation of citizens.

In 2013, together with Marcus Syring, he published his first scientific volume “The first encounter with the political. Experience-oriented first contacts in class, school and living environment ”in Prolog Verlag. In 2016 his SPIEGEL bestseller “The Jargon of Affection. How the Church dies because of its language ”in Kösel-Verlag .

In 2018, together with David Holte, he published the book “A Church for Many Instead of Holy Remnants”, which also became a SPIEGEL bestseller, in Herder-Verlag .

Erik Flügge has been commenting on current political events in various media for years . He is a member of the SPD .
