Erik Paulsen (dubbing director)
Erik Paulsen (* 1954 in Hamburg ) is a German dubbing director and dialog book author .
Act
After graduating from high school, Paulsen studied philosophy , linguistics and comparative linguistics, among other things . At the same time, he worked as a freelancer for Bayerischer Rundfunk . Since 1980, the profession of film dubbing busy, he commuted for years between the first main offices in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin. Since 2002 he has been working mainly in Berlin. Erik Paulsen edited the German language versions of the series Spenser (1987), Matlock (approx. 100 episodes, 1988), Dawson's Creek (1999), OC, California (1st season, 2004) and Breaking Bad (2009).
As an author, he also provided the German dubbed dialogues for a number of major TV and cinema productions, including The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (1989), The Beret (1990), Prospero's Books (1991), Schindler's List (1993), Catherine the Great (1995), Tiger and Dragon (2000) and Our Earth (2007). He is also a writer and director for the German versions of u. a. It's Not Easy To Be A God (1990), Scarlett (1994), Who Rides With The Devil (1999), Babel (2006), Che - Guerrilla (2008) and W. - A Misunderstood Life (2008) in Charge.
