Erik Vera Franco (born March 24, 1992 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Vera emerged from the junior division of his "home club" UNAM Pumas , with which he was also under contract throughout his entire career as a professional footballer .

Vera made his debut in the Primera División on January 30, 2011 in a home game against CF Monterrey , which was won 3-2. At the end of the same half season , he was part of the squad of the Pumas team that won the Mexican soccer championship of Clausura in 2011 .

However, appearances for the Pumas remained a rarity (by the end of 2014 Vera was only used eight times in the Mexican first division and was often for their U-20 team and in the 2012/13 season for the Pumas farm team, which played in the second division Morelos ) and so he was loaned to Venados FC for the entire calendar year 2015 and to Club Necaxa in 2016 .
