The Erika Klopp Verlag is an imprint for children's books in Dressler Verlag , who for Oetinger publishing group in Hamburg belongs.

Publishing history

Fritz Klopp founded the publishing house in 1925, which mainly focused on fiction , stage literature and linguistics . After his death in 1939, his wife Erika Klopp took over the publishing house. In 1944 the publishing house was closed by the National Socialists . In 1946, Erika Klopp received a license in the British Zone of Occupation and published English language textbooks. From 1950 the publishing house was gradually converted into a children's and youth book publisher. Enid Blyton and Helen Dore Boylston became the publisher's figureheads. For example, the children's book series Secret um ... was relocated here.

In 1999 the publishing house joined the Friedrich Oetinger publishing group ; In 2010 he merged with the Heinrich Ellermann publishing house . As a result, the publishing house was conceptually realigned and now focuses on the age group between 8 and 18 years. The series bookworms is aimed at younger readers, and there are Mädchenbuch -Reihen and the young adult novel series in the middle (since 2002).
