Erkinchon Rahmatullozoda

Erkinchon Rahmatullozoda ( Tajik Эркинхон Раҳматуллозода ; born May 10, 1953 in Isfara , Tajik SSR , Soviet Union as Erkin Rahmatullojew ) is a Tajik diplomat . He has been the Tajik Ambassador to Belgium since 2016 .

Life

He studied Oriental Studies at the Tajik National University , where he graduated with honors in 1974. He then worked as a high school teacher until 1976. In 1988, he completed an apprenticeship in the field of "Senior Management" at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry. In 1999 he received his doctorate in political science from Lomonosov University in Moscow . He returned to the Diplomatic Academy in 2008 as a postdoc . He completed all training after 1977 while working for the Tajik Foreign Ministry.

In May 2014 he had the Russified spelling of his name Erkin Rahmatullojew changed to the Tajik form Erkinchon Rahmatullozoda.

Diplomatic career

From 1977 to 1980, Erkinchon Rahmatullozoda worked as an interpreter at the Soviet embassy in Cairo , and back in the Tajik SSR he worked in the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Republic until 1986 . From 1986 to 1990 he was an advisor in the Foreign Ministry of the Tajik SSR, from 1990 to 1992 Deputy Minister in this ministry and from 1992 to 2001 1st Deputy Minister there. From 2001 to 2014 he was state advisor to the Tajik President Emomalij Rahmon in the field of foreign policy, in the same area from 2014 to January 2016 he was assistant to the presidents.

Since January 27, 2016, he has succeeded Rustamjon Soliev as Ambassador to Belgium , co-accredited for Luxembourg , and Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the European Union and NATO .

Publications

In 2001 he published a book in a Moscow publishing house on the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Tajikistan and preventive diplomacy in Central Asia. In 2003 a book was published in Rabat, Morocco with the title al-Ḥaḍāra al-Islāmīya fī Tādschīkistān  /الحضارة الإسلامية في تاجيكستان / 'Islamic Civilization in Tajikistan' published by the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO) and in which he was co-author; the book was also published in English that same year. At the University for Peace in Costa Rica (UPEACE) his United Nations peacekeeping and preventive diplomacy: Central Asia, Tajikistan and Afghanistan from 2006 is used as teaching material, at the Lomonossow University in Moscow his Preventive diplomacy: panacea or mirage? from 2007.
