Erlach is a district of the town of Simbach am Inn and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn .

The parish village of Erlach is located about one kilometer northeast of Simbach am Inn on federal highway 12 . The Inn is located about one kilometer to the south.
history
The place belonged to the Obmannschaft Winklham and in 1811 became the center of the tax district Erlach, from which in 1821 the rural community Erlach of the regional court Simbach emerged, which comprised 34 districts. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Erlach came to the city of Simbach am Inn on January 1, 1972.
Originally an independent parish, the parish seat was moved to Kirchdorf am Inn around 1200 . 1841 Expositur, the Erlach parish was rebuilt in 1898.

- Parish church Maria Himmelfahrt : The single-nave brick building was completed around 1500. The late Romanesque tower made of tuff stone blocks with a late Gothic octagonal structure has a baroque lantern dome from 1740. The late Gothic church with an impressive interior is equipped with baroque altars.
