The adventure tower Waldpfad Binningen is an observation tower in the municipality of Binningen in the canton of Basel-Landschaft .
situation
The tower, built in 2007 from Douglas fir , is 15 meters high. 44 steps lead to the viewing platform at a height of 10 meters.
Hiking trails lead from the edge of the Binningen village to the observation tower in about 10 minutes.
Why a tower in the Allschwil Forest?
The adventure tower is part of the Binningen forest path. If you climb up the tower, you will find yourself in the middle of the treetops. This enables a completely new relationship to the trees.
The construction
The tower construction is based on a triangular base. Three logs form the supporting structure of the tower. In the middle, a staircase was also built around a wooden trunk. The tower has two platforms and is covered with a roof.
