The Wisenbergturm is an observation tower on the Wisenberg in basel scenic community Häfelfingen .
The current steel lattice tower was built in 1927 instead of the earlier wooden tower (built in 1922). In 1953, the existing tower on the concrete base was raised by 6 meters, in 1987 by a further 9.5 meters with a metal construction and renovated in summer 2017. The viewing platform with four panorama boards and seating options at a height of 28.5 meters can be accessed via 127 steps.
Various hiking trails lead in 30 to 40 minutes from the hamlet of Untere Hupp above the Solothurn community of Wisen or from Bad Ramsach in around 45 minutes to the observation tower. The association Erlebnisraum Tafeljura created the adventure trail “wisenbergwärts”, which starts at the former Sommerau train station (municipality of Gelterkinden ) on the Hauenstein route and is equipped with 13 information boards up to the Wisenberg tower.
The triangulation point next to the tower is maintained by the local tourist office.
