The Hohwacht is located at 794 m above sea level. M. in the municipality of Titterten in the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .
The observation tower was built in 2013 together with an adventure trail. The project was implemented by the Titterten Adventure Trail, and the Tafeljura Adventure Area supported the project financially.
44 steps lead to the viewing platform at a height of approx. 10 meters. Since the surrounding trees are taller than the observation tower, the view is very limited.
The height of the tower was deliberately chosen so that a simplified approval process could be used during construction. It was therefore not built as an actual observation tower, but as a «forest observation tower».
