Erna Wenk

Erna Wenk (born December 28, 1893 in Magdeburg ; † 1973 ibid) was a politician ( DDP , LDP ) and member of the state parliament in Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

Erna Henriette Clara Amalie Wenk attended the Lyceum from 1900 to 1910 and the Upper Lyceum in Magdeburg from 1912 to 1916. There she passed the Abitur in 1915 and the final exam for the teaching profession at Easter 1916. From April 1916 she was a teacher at Magdeburg elementary schools. In October 1945 she became the principal of the 6th elementary school in Magdeburg.

She was a member of the DDP or DStP until 1933. From 1922 she was a member of the executive board of the DDP in Magdeburg and was head of the youth group from 1918 to 1929 and of the women's group of the DDP from 1929 to 1933.

In 1945 she was one of the founders of the LDP in Magdeburg and was a board member at district, district and state level.

On November 29, 1946, she was elected honorary councilor of Magdeburg by the city council and took up office on December 30, 1946.

In the state elections in the province of Saxony in 1946 , she was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in constituency II ( Burg , Magdeburg , Schönebeck , Jerichow I , Wolmirstedt , Haldensleben , Wanzleben ) . In the state parliament she was a member of the committee for education and cultural affairs as well as the social policy committee. On April 27, 1950, she resigned from her mandate. Gertrud Sasse became the successor in the state parliament .

She belonged to the first and second People's Council , which was renamed the People's Chamber .
