Ernest Prodolliet (film scholar)

Ernest Prodolliet (born October 9, 1925 in Münsterlingen ; † 2009 ) was a Swiss film scholar , journalist and lecturer in film studies.

Prodolliet studied at the Universities of Basel , Aberdeen and Zurich . In 1953 he was at the University of Zurich with a thesis on Caesar von Arx to Dr. phil. PhD. From the 1960s he worked as press officer in the chemical industry. He was a film historian and lectured at the University of Freiburg .

Prodolliet's estate is in the documentation center of the Cinémathèque suisse in Zurich.
