Ernesto Goñi , full name Ernesto Goñi Ameijenda , (born January 13, 1985 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.85 meter tall defensive player Goñi was at the beginning of his career from mid-2007 to January 2010 in the ranks of the team of the Racing Club de Montevideo . From the 2008/09 season he came there across seasons to 42 appearances in the Primera División and scored three goals. He then played on loan for Nacional Montevideo until the end of January 2011 . With the "Bolsos" he played in 13 first division games and hit the opposing goal once. He also played five times (no goal) in the 2010 Copa Libertadores . In the 2011 Clausura he was back in the Racings squad and was used eight times (no goal) in the league. Another loan to Quilmes AC followed in the second half of July 2011 . For the Argentinians, he played eight games in the Primera B Nacional in the 2011/12 season , three clashes in the Copa Argentina and, after promotion, 30 more games in the Primera División , in which he scored his only competitive goal for the club. In mid-2013, Estudiantes de La Plata signed him . With the Platensern he was used in 17 first division games (one goal) and one encounter (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . From the end of January 2015 until January 2016 he was active at CA Tigre . There he met once in 23 appearances in the top Argentine league and two appearances in the national cup competition. He also took part in two clashes (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2015 . He then continued his career in Europe at UD Almería . On the side of the Spaniards, however, he only played two games without a personal goal in the Segunda División . In September 2016 he switched back to Racing and played in four top division games (no goal) in the 2016 season. Since the end of January 2017, he has been a member of the squad of the second division Club Atlético Torque .
