Ernie Reyes, Jr.
Ernie E. Reyes, Jr. (born January 15, 1972 in San José , California ) is an American actor , martial artist , choreographer and stunt performer .
Life
Reyes Jr. was born to the actor and stuntman Ernie Reyes Sr. and is the grandson of Filipino immigrants. He has three brothers and two sisters, Lee Reyes is a boxer and Santino Ramos is a filmmaker .
Career
In 1985 Reyes played a prince in Red Sonja at the side of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen . From 1986 to 1987 he played a major role in the television series Sidekicks - Karate Kid & Co . In 1988 he had a guest appearance on the television series MacGyver .
He also took on major roles in the films Turtles II (1991) and Surf Ninjas (1993). He was already involved as a stunt double in the film Turtles (1990). Other films in which he took on larger roles are Rush Hour 2 (2001) and Welcome to the Jungle (2003).
In 1998 he made his debut as a director and screenwriter with the production of the action film The Process . He also took on the lead role in the film.
In 2006, Reyes Jr. hosted the martial arts reality show Finale Fu on MTV .
Ernie Reyes has a fighting record of 3-0 in mixed martial arts .
More recently, Reyes has been involved in motion capture stunts for blockbuster films such as Avatar and Alice in Wonderland .
